This Is My Life....

Well, I haven't posted for a lil' while I have been kind of busy. Lets see there has been the holiday, my husbands B-day party, putting up X-mas decorations, looking for a house, and just the daily normal routine. We actually had a Thanksgiving dinner at our house- Yes I cooked! :-0 We had my family's big Thanksgiving dinner the Sunday before the holiday so on Thanksgiving we did our own thing and invited a small few over to join us. It was really good! Yesterday was my husbands B-day so my parents, my sister and brother-in-law, and I took Yamaze to Dusties' for dinner. Its a soul-food restaurant and it was awesome.. I had sweet-n-sour chicken, baked macaroni and cheese, cornbread stuffing, ribeye, spaghetti, salad, and homemade cobbler with icecream. It is kind of expensive though- almost $20 a plate but it is a buffet and you can eat tons in which we all did and were all feeling the affects afterwards.. We then came back home and had cake. It was a nice evening.

Hey, its snowing here in Bradley- IL. We are expected to get 3-7 inches. I have to work tonite so I'm hoping the roads dont get too bad.

Today we finished the X-mas lights. My sister was over last night and helped me put most of the tree together so today I just had to add the additional touches. I put a tree in the living room, and two trees in the dining room- You think thats festive enough?? LOL

Well I need to get this meatloaf in so that we can have some dinner.. Will post more later.. Oh yeah Amazing race is on tonight I cant wait...

Well I got up this morning and began working ever since. It seems for me anyhow that when I have the night off (Midnights) the following day is my most productive. I raked the yard, cleaned the house, and washed the car. The weather was actually perfect for it all. It did get a little brezzy for awhile but with the constant moving about I soon warmed up.

Good news is, is that I may also get tonight off. At our unit we can only hold a maximum of 8 teenage girls. These girls have severe behavior problems, have for the most part all been sexually abused, are cutters, etc..Well we discharged a patient today which leaves us at only 1 patient- so having a nurse and 2 techs on the floor while 1 girl is sleeping is pointless as well as poor cost effectiveness so I was selected to be IVO'd tonight and the other Tech will be IVO'd tomorrow night. This will remain like this until we have 3 girls. The drawback is of course our paychecks! All we get paid, unless we choose to use our Earned time, is on-call pay but its better than nothing!

It kind of works out for me because my husband is sick with what I believe is the flu. He is running a temp of 101 and his stomach is killing him so I have no problem babying him- men love that shit don't they?? He never complains so when he says he's not feeling well- he TRULY isnt feeling well!

I'm hoping the Finale includes Analeigh and McKey. Mckey I believe will be the one to win this years cycle eof americas next top model. :-)

December 16th my sister and I will going to the Celine Dion Taking Chances concert.. It was originally scheleduled for November 4th but since Barack Obama was in town they cancelled it and set it to December 16th. I'm just hoping the weather is permittable. Chicago always seems to get so much freakin' snow. :-(

Look closely and you will see him- This is my husband celebrating our 3rd anniversary at the Sybaris. He hates pics!

The Sybaris is a wonderful getaway for any couple. We always get the whirlpool suite with the steam room- its awesome! The only thing that sucks is that you have to get a membership each year to go there which can be quite costly.

I must say my husband is one of the best things that has ever happened to me- I thank God everyday for giving me such a blessing as him!!! "Love you honey"" XOXOXOXO

Well we just got home from eating dinners at my moms and it was great. We love spending time with the family!

Well I got in and turned on the DVR to see what the recap was on DWTS and Cody was kicked off- Awww... He was so cute- he will be missed. But I'm still rooting for Lance & lacey.. Julianne sung a song tonight on the show and was actually pretty good! I tell you that girl has talent!! Well next week is the finale and I cant wait..
